LAB Series + 1:1 Consultation

This series includes three 2-hour trainings + 1 hour of personal consultation:

1. Candidate Branding LAB (Thurs 10/21 6pm-8pm) - As a candidate, you must be able to articulate why voters should choose you. In the first hour of this Lab, you'll learn the critical components of a consistent, authentic campaign message and how to infuse it throughout campaign materials, speeches, and . In the second hour, you'll apply what you've learned by preparing a 2-minute stump speech with the option to practice in class and receive constructive feedback.
2. Fundraising LAB (Mon 10/25 6pm-8pm) - No matter how good a candidate you are, you need resources to build visibility, connect with your base, and mobilize voters. In the first hour of this Lab, we'll guide you through the types of donors and why they give, when and how to ask for money, the necessary digital tools you need to receive and disclose donations, and how much things cost. In the second hour, you'll start building your fundraising list and strategize how to expand your base so you can raise more money!
3. Field Organizing LAB (Thurs 10/28 6pm-8pm) - Field organizing is the process of directly contacting voters in order to educate and mobilize them to cast a vote for you. In the first hour of this Lab, you'll learn how to determine the number of voters it takes to win your race and explore the different methods and tools needed to target and turnout voters in your district. In the second hour, you'll test your knowledge by performing a precinct analysis and writing out a direct voter contact strategy.
